If you’re not happy with it, change it. That’s especially true here.

I worked with a client on her headline. It was a matter of brainstorming and coming up with just the right words. 🧠

Know what? It wasn’t our first time chatting. She’s not a new client. 😀

She knew her LinkedIn profile was in better shape than when we started first working together but she wanted to tweak it. 📝

Two heads are better than one and we came up with something that she’s much happier with. We actually took out keywords. Say what? Yep, you don’t have to have a bunch of keywords in your headline. 🤯

We also worked on her About section because there was plenty of info in her About where she told her story. What was missing was that there wasn’t enough about how she did it, why companies should choose her over her competitors, and what people walked away with. ✅

Sprinkling the keywords in your About helps too.

At the end of our call she said “This is so much better!”

Remember, just because you were/are happy with your profile, doesn’t mean you can’t change it days, weeks, or months later.

I also reminded her that she needs to have strategic conversations and post content here too.

What’s the point of a good profile if not one sees it?

She knows she has more work to do and she wants to see more of me on a consistent basis, and we’re working on making that happen.

Getting it done!

That client call and two more “yes” notes from prospects and I’m going into the weekend with a 😁. Love getting stuff done!!!

Can you wrap up your work week with a sense of accomplishment?

If yes, that’s awesome!

If not, what can you do differently to change it up?

Have you changed up your profile recently? How are you fine tuning it?

It’s a word that is often tossed around but here on LinkedIn, branding yourself is super important.

A big part of branding yourself is your LinkedIn profile.

Here are a few questions to ask yourself in regards to your LinkedIn profile.

1. Is my profile picture over a year old?
If it is, time to change it!

2. What does my banner image say about me and what I do?
Skyline picture? Picture of the mountains?
No text to define what people get when they work with you?
Time to change it!

3. Is my headline my job title?
Try searching that exact same job title here on LinkedIn. Chances are there are a LOT of people using the same job title. What sets you apart from the crowd?

Time to brand yourself here because the goal should be the unicorn, the rainbow, or the pink or purple graphic among all the gray icons.

How are you different than everyone else?

If you need help branding yourself here the RIGHT way, Leverage Up, LLC can help with that. Only thing is, right now I’m in the midst of relocating. I’m taking on new clients later this summer. DM me because I promise it will be worth the wait!

Which headline do you like better?

1. Business Development Professional
2. The word “NO” doesn’t mean stop, I sell until the answer is “YES”!

It’s not about your title that your company gave you, it’s about how and why you do what you do. What sets you apart from others with that same title?

Incorporate keywords too!

Your headline is one of the first thing someone notices about you when they check out your profile.

Make it work for you.
